BIOGRAPHY

PROFESSIONAL:

2023: Williams started in 18 of the 19 matches she appeared in, recording 1,653 minutes, seven goals, and two assists. Her seven goals led the team, in which Williams has been the leading goal scorer in every season she has appeared in, except for her rookie season when she was tied for the most alongside Sam Mewis. She also started in every playoff match en route to the 2023 NWSL championship, in which Williams extended her record for career playoff minutes to 1,221. She played in her fifth final, tying Kristen Hamilton for the league record and the forward is the first player in league history to start in five finals.  

2022: Despite missing the entire 2022 NWSL season due to injury, her 57 career NWSL regular season goals heading into the 2023 regular season ranked third all-time in league history behind Australian Sam Kerr (77) and Canadian Christine Sinclair (59), and most ever for an American. Was traded to the Kansas City Current prior to the 2022 season.

2021: Returned to the Courage where she started and played in 17 matches, recording 1,484 minutes, seven goals, and two assists.

2017-20: After the Flash moved to North Carolina and became the Courage, won two more NWSL Championships (2018 and 2019) and a streak of three consecutive NWSL Shields (2017, 2018, 2019) with the Courage. Also spent time on loan in Australia’s W-League, playing for the Western Sydney Wanderers in 2019-20.

2015-16: Selected No. 6 overall by the Western New York Flash in the 2015 NWSL College Draft where she won the NWSL Golden Boot in 2016, was named the 2016 NWSL MVP and helped the club win the 2016 NWSL Championship.

COLLEGE:
2011-14: Williams played at Pepperdine University, where she scored a total of 39 goals in her 78 appearances. Williams was a finalist for the Hermann Trophy and was named first-team All-American by the NSCAA and Soccer America as well as All-WCC first team for three consecutive years. Williams set a school record for shots with 130 and ranked first in the WCC.

INTERNATIONAL
2023: She made two appearances with the team. 2022: SheBelieves Cup Champion.

2021: Williams was named to the 2020 Summer Olympics roster for the United States. She totaled 16 appearances, scored five goals and made four assists. 2021 SheBelieves Cup Champion.

2019-20: Williams returned with the team for her first cap in 20 months. She scored five goals and had five assists during her first five games back with the team, including the 2020 CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament. She went on to win an Olympic Bronze Medal with USWNT this year. 2020 SheBelieves Cup Champion. Overall, she made 10 match appearances from 2019-2020.

2018: 2018 SheBelieves Cup Champion. She was also named to the provisional roster for the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship. She made four appearances with the team in 2018.

2017: Williams was named to the 2017 SheBelieves Cup roster. Here she scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Germany. She was also called up for the 2017 Tournament of Nations. She made 11 appearances and scored 3 goals.

2016: Williams earned her first USWNT call up and cap. She scored the fastest debut goal in the team’s history, scoring 49 seconds after entering the match. She made four appearances for the team this year.

2013-15: Williams represented the United States on the U-23 squad.
